Mazda has just introduced a new 5-passenger sport utility vehicle, the CX-30, to its lineup. This compact SUV is a real home run for the Japanese brand. The 2020 Mazda CX-30 is not coming to Mazda’s lineup to replace the CX-3. It is located just between the latter and the CX-5.
As Mazda puts it so well, the all-new CX-30 “offers a host of features, it is spacious, and its design is elegant. “ Available inthree distinct versions for 2020, the CX-30 is offered with two powertrains. The first of the two is the 2.0L Skyactiv-G 4-cylinder engine producing 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. Then there’s the 2.5L Skyactiv-G 4-cylinder engine delivering 186 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. These two engines are mated to a Skyactiv-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and line selection system.
As an option, the CX-30 can be equipped with Mazda’s all-wheel drive system, i-Activ. It should be remembered that this system uses 27 sensors that monitor the condition of the road 200 times per second. As for them, the three versions are the GX, GS and GT. With its starting price of $ 23,950, the CX-30 GX is less expensive than many of its direct competitors. Plus, the Mazda CX-30 offers a lot for its money. Standard keyless entry, heated front seats with three settings, 8.8 ‘’ color touchscreen with Mazda Connect system, advanced blind spot monitoring system, rear cross traffic alert and, of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems.
Depending on the engine chosen, Mazda’s new compact SUV offers fuel economy of between 8.9 and 9.9L / 100 km in the city and 7.1 and 7.7L / 100 km on the highway.
